Entrepreneurship 101 is Canada’s largest live and online entrepreneurship course.

These acquaint you with the fundamental strategic and operational issues involved in commercializing your technology or managing your innovative company.


A collection of experiential, hands-on workshops facilitated by experienced entrepreneurs. Workshops are designed for a maximum of 30 participants and allow time for exercises and peer-to-peer feedback on their own ventures. Drawing on the latest thought leadership and tools for startup development—such as Steve Blank’s Customer Development Model, Eric Ries’ Lean Startup and Alexander Osterwalder’s Business Model Canvas.


An online database called “MaRS Library” provides articles on starting and running a business, as well as workbooks, videos, and case studies. The MaRS Library contains articles, templates, reports, workbooks, reference guides and videos covering a range of topics, including accounting, funding, governance, intellectual property, leadership, legal issues, marketing, selling, social innovation etc.
