IION, one of 17 Regional Innovation Centres (RICs) in Ontario, is a member of the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs (ONE) and a member of the Northern Technology Alliance (NTA). IION’s region stretches North to Temiskaming Shores, South to Muskoka, West to West Nipissing and East to the Quebec Border; roughly 42,000 square kilometres.


IION is co-located at Canadore College and Nipissing University in North Bay. Being co-located presents the optimal setting to facilitate innovation. IION works collaboratively with a variety of strategic partners within the ONE to foster innovation and accelerate growth.

  • Young Entrepreneurs, Make Your Pitch

      Young Entrepreneurs, Make Your Pitch is a high school entrepreneurship competition presented by the Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure and Ontario Centres of Excellence as part of the Youth Jobs Strategy.
