Innovation Initiatives Ontario North (IION) is a Regional Innovation Centre (RIC) located in North Bay at Nipissing University /Canadore College. The location leverages synergies with the existing expertise at both Nipissing University and Canadore College campuses. IION is leading a local/regional resource alliance serving clients within the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs (ONE).

IION’s service district covers roughly 42,000 square kilometres extending North to Temiskaming Shores, South to the Muskokas, East to the Quebec border, and West to Sturgeon Falls.

We’ve identified opportunities in a wide range of target areas: advanced manufacturing, aerospace and mining support engineering, health care opportunities, agriculture, green environmental eco technology, forest bioproducts including natural products, resource management, project management, policy development, and a new cluster in IT.
